Maoist are our enemies

Philosophy of Maoists is foreign in origin and their aim is to destabilize India and to convert it into a colony of China. Basically they are anti-national. They have declared war against India and its people. They have killed hundreds of security personnel and innocent people. Unfortunately the attitude of UPA government to Maoist is not serious. Home minister Chidambaram has miserably failed to discharge his duties. Appointment of known Maoist sympathizer Binayak Sen on a planning commission committee has demoralized our security personnel. Government should stepup fight against Maoist and eliminate them completely from our soil. It is the constitutional obligation of the UPA government.

Denial of permission for hunger strike by Anna Hazare deplorable

Denial of permission for a day-long hunger strike at Jnther Mantar today by Anna Hazare and civil right activist is against the basic constitutional right of citizens. Police forced  the sathiyagrahis to shift the venue to Rajghat. The peaceful hunger strike is to protest against the crackdown of police against Baba Ramdevs congregation against corruption. It is clear that the UPA government fear all democratic protest against corruption and black money. Autocratic action of the central government and Delhi police is deplorable.

Support Baba Ramdev

I request the people who are fighting against corruption to join Baba Ramdevs movement against corruption and bring black money stashed abroad. We should actively participate in the fight against corruption by anybody, anywhere and in anyway. Now the government at the centre and states are NECK DEEP in corruption. It is to be noted that almost all political parties in India are corrupt to the core. Right and left parties are two sides of the same coin.

Cancel nomination of Binayak Sen in the committee on health under The Planning Commission

Nomination of Bin ayak Sen in the 40- member committee on health under the planning commission of India is an antinational act. Sen has been convicted of heinous charges including sedation and hobnobbing with the Maoist by Chhattisgarh High Court. The court has found Sen guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment. His nomination on a government panel was not only improper but would also adversely impact on the planning commission’s integrity and nations fight against Maoist. It to be noted that Supreme Court has only granted him bail not acquittal. The very act of the Central Government will worsen the the center-state relation and also send wrong signals to the security forces engaged in the battle against Maoist and could result in their demoralization. The UPA Government should cancel the nomination of Sen.

Shutdown nuclear plants in India in a phased programme

Nuclear plants threaten the very existence of life in the Earth. Every nuclear plant is an Atom bomb. We have not learned a lesson from explosion of major nuclear plants like Three Mile Island, Chernobyl and other accidents. The Fukushima disaster in Japan has once again brought to fore the issue of the safety of nuclear plants. Massive protests have been taking place all over the world against nuclear plants. Nuclear power is by far the most dangerous component of the hard energy sources. At the same time it is  the most inefficient and uneconomical source of energy. A recent analysis has compared the cost of producing electricity from various fuels. Coal based thermal power plants cost Rs 4.5 crore per MW; turbine running on gas or naphtha cost Rs 3 crore per MW; nuclear reactor Rs 7 to 10 crore per MW. This is the most expensive form of energy in the world. Waste disposal of plant is also very serious problem. Its radiation will last for generations. India is one of the most populated regions in the world. Nuclear plants are most  unsuited for India .The nuclear plants in India should be shut down in a phased programme.
